what household product can i use to clean out sewer/drain pipes?
HELP!!! Both of my toilets are backing up with sewage waste and I need to unstop them and get sparkkling clean along with pipes before company comes over. Any suggestions for an household product I can use besides some drain cleaner (doesnt work). I wont be able to rod it out til next week with an electric eel.
Sounds like your septic tank needs to be pumped out.

if your problem with anything household. Call a pro, he can fix it for good. Household stuff is just temporary. is that in-depth, don’t bother trying to do it
you need to empty out your septic tank.
Boy, if BOTH your toilets are backing up, you PROBABLY have a problem downline in your pipes, or if you’re on a septic system, your tanks may be full and need pumping out.
Do your other drains work? Be carefull, if something is plugged down line the sinks should not work either and they may overflow too.I wouldn’t put any thing else in if everything is plugged.
If the sinks run OK then can’t you use a plunger to unstop the toilets?
First off, never put any acid or drain cleaners, (that get hot) down the toilet, the wax gasket can melt. Now, you will need to call a drain cleanig company because your toilet pipe is the largest pipe you drain into, so if that is clogged it sounds the the main is stopped up or the septic. (if you have one)..
