Do not get the choked drains pipes blues and use this plan

What are some easy home remedies for eradicating choked drainage in your bathroom? The quickest and simplest thing to use to take on the problem is your typical plunger. The entire process of opening obstructed drainpipe with a plunger is simple and straightforward. But the last thing you want to do is be too aggressive and pulse to quickly. To achieve the desired effect, the drain should be totally covered with the head of the plunger and then the bell-shaped rubber must be pressed down slowly; next the handle should be pulled up fast and with good enough force to produce an effective suction. In theory the suction created by pulling up quickly will dislodge the material that is clogging your bathtub, toilet or sink. Some washbasins and bathtubs are provided with overspill openings that have to be blocked temporarily with a wet cloth for the plunger to develop effective suction.

Instead of using your plunger you can apply commercial products containing chemicals that can dissolve the clog, for instance concentrated drains cleaner. This is usually done after you attempt to unplug your drain using your plunger. The chemicals must sit for a while as it eats away at the blockage, then you must run hot water down the drain pipe to flush it out. Just to be careful, you must put on clothes that you wouldn’t care about if they get spoiled by dirt or harmful chemicals. Eye protection is not a bad idea either if you plan on plunging again in case there is any residual back splash of chemical laden water. The chemical product comes with specific manufacturer’s instructions; it is important to read and follow them carefully.

If the plunger does not work, try detaching the drainpipe trap by removing the bolts with suitable tools. Removing the drainpipe trap can release a sudden rush of waste water, so keep a mop and pail handy, put a bucket underneath the p-trap before you disconnect it. Use an electrical tape to encircle the jaws of your wrench so that you can get a better grip on the pipes and also maintain their chrome finish without scratching them. Once you have removed the P-trap you can inspect the trap thoroughly for any blockage. If, however you cannot find any solid materials the problem is probably harder to get to, between the trap and the soil stack deep in the drains pipework.

A toilet auger is the best tool for dealing with toilets that are blocked,. If you are attempting to clean the drainage of your tub or sink, you should use a drainage snake. drain pipe snakes are manufactured to be able to access the far side of your pipes as narrow as they may be. Once the snake has reached the blockage you can twist the adjustable handle which will drill into the obstruction so you can then pull the material out. Once, you have taken out the obstruction, re-fix the P-trap and rinse the drain pipe with hot water to make sure that the entire clog has been removed. Everything should be sealed properly after the whole process is over, the P-trap and pipes should also be checked for any leaks.

If all these methods fail then you need to call in a professional plumber. It is possible that (due to acts of nature or general wear and tear) blockages in the soil stack or sewer service by vegetation or collapsed pipes will be too big a job and too specialised for the householder to do by themselves, you should then call in a company with no call out fee like Dyno Rod.
